Last night was the first game I had been to in a couple months. And when the Rangers tied it up and won it in OT, the garden was the loudest I have heard it in a long time. The atmosphere in the building was tremendous. You could feel that all the fans at the game had this confidence that the Rangers would come back and win. I for one have not seen that first hand with Ranger fans for the last 21 years.
Last night truly showed what it would mean for the Rangers to have home ice advantage. And tonight, the Rangers play the Devils and are faced with the opportunity to clinch 1st place in the league. I don’t care about the presidents trophy and having the best league record because that means nothing come playoff time. But what I do care about is seeing the New York Rangers guarantee home ice advantage throughout the playoffs.
The fans are ready. The fans will outnumber Devils fans tonight. Clinch tonight.
